My first trip to Costa Rica
was in 1976. My first surf
and fishing spot was a little
town called Cahuita on the
Carribean side. I fell in
love with the country
immediately. Since then,
I have explored the coastline of Costa Rica from the Nicaraguan border to the Panamanian border and lots of places in between. This area is close to airports, top medical facilities, great surfing, great fishing, with access to the rest of the country on main highways. I have also found that this area has less rain in the rainy season and less heat in the dry season.

This beautiful custom built home sits on approximately 2.5 acres of manicured grounds with incredible ocean views. It is located just 5 km (3 miles) up a well maintained road and looks directly down at the breaking waves of the inlet at Playa Bejuco.
You are moments away from world class fishing, world class surfing, waterfalls, ziplines, mountains, whitewater rafting, and the beaches and lagoons of Manuel Antonio. You can do day trips to La Paz, Tabacon, and Monteverde.
Manual Antonio, a national park just 45 minute drive. There is lots to see and do with many places to eat.
World class waves and some lesser known spots are in the area. Ten different breaks are within a 45 minute drive from the house.
Guamalotillo Waterfall is just a short drive from the house.
World class fishing out of Quepos and Herradura.
Arenal volcano is about a four hour drive from the house. Horseback riding, ziplines, and all sorts of tours are abundant here. Many places are available to stay. The Springs Resort is here and is a sister hotel to La Paz Waterfall Gardens.
Monteverde cloud forest is about a three 1/2 hour drive. A great trip is to stay a night or two in Monteverde, drive around Lake Arenal, spending a second night at Tabacon enjoying the beautiful hot springs.
